I moved from Sydney to Melbourne to with my two children to escape from a bitter cycle of domestic violence. We didn’t know anyone in Melbourne, but luckily we were able to find a place we could live, at least on a temporary basis.
Melbourne weather was a lot colder than we were used to in Sydney, and we didn’t have the money with which to buy warmer clothes. One of my neighbours told me about PCS, and I went there with the hope that they would be able to help me out.
They provided woolen clothes for myself and my children, and provided some basic utilities to help us get settled in our new place. I was amazed that they were able to do so much for us, and all totally for free.
Thank you and God bless you all!
